I have been sad of late, but in such moments I choose quiet, allowing the sadness to move through my body—bloodstream, sinew, breath. I embrace it with care. I slow my thoughts and lean into whatever rises.
I often wonder why people cannot see that we have more in common than what divides us. We all want love, security, opportunity, connection, belonging, and to be seen.
Life is already hard enough without making it deliberately harder, as humanity’s historical choices so often show.
But I am a dreamer, and I thank God daily for this gift. In that space, I move through life knowing that remaining present to my dreams is my truest reality.
